Fall Feeder Finches From the Northwoods

SAVE THE DATE!  Sunday October 1st 1:00 P.M.  Brad Bumgardner from Indiana Audubon Society will give a presentation on Finches in our Valparaiso Wild Birds Unlimited store.  Every year, as new birds arrive from the north during their fall migration, a special set of birds arrive at our feeders that we don't see every year.  Collectively called, "winter finches," these birds are fickle with food, and irrupt in unpredictable fashion year to year.  From Redpolls, Pine Siskins and even Evening Grosbeaks, learn about these fall feeder birds and what drives them each year and how you can attract them to your own backyard.
